The OPTIMUM FOCUS ionic foot spa process creates an osmosis environment, where toxins move out from the body. The water starts off clear when the feet are first placed in the water. At the end of the 35 minute session, the footbath water will have colors due to the oxidation, cellular body waste and toxins/impurities in the water. Toxins are drawn out from the body due to this osmosis environment. Human Cells have been viewed under a darkfield microscope that shows improvements after just 1 treatment. It shows rounded and free-floating cells, confirming oxygenation and hydration has occurred. The human cell walls are less dense & clearer.

It is recommended to drink water before, during and after your treatment. Upon arrival to your appointment, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire and waiver. Our staff member will create a client log to keep track of your sessions and make notes on each of your treatments. This will help us determine which amperage to use during subsequent treatments and to make note of any changes.

1) Please come prepared to not use your phone or device during the session. You cannot be touching any electronics or battery operated items so come prepared with a book to read or just relax and take the time to heal and rest. We also offer magazines for you to read.

2) Once seated you will be offered water and tea and asked to remove any jewellery/watch for optimum results. Any metal or anything energetically charged (even people or pets) will affect your treatment.

3)  You will place your feet into a one time use liner within a copper bucket of clear salt water containing the Optimizer array which is powered by the Optimizer unit. This is safe, has been thoroughly tested and there is no chance of electrocution or harm due to the grounding chassis and system safety mechanisms installed. There is also no electricity going into the body. The small amperage used is simply charging the water with ions that travel through the large pores in the feet to stimulate the cells to reduce waste and then absorb nutrients and water. The array is thoroughly sanitized after each use as well as soaked in a cleaning solution.

4) The staff member has full control over the amperage.  The first treatment will be at a lower amp until it is determined the client feels well and healthy enough to handle more. Keeping a log will also help with this. The amperage will also fluctuate on its own during your session, using the sensor capability within the machine. It may go up or down, depending on the individual and the condition of their health at that time.

5) During the 35 minute session, you will notice fatty deposits begin to appear, floating on top of the water. The clear water will eventually become darker and murkier. Everybody is different and will have different amounts of deposits/impurities that come out. The body will release what it can handle to release, and even the same person can have a different experience during each footbath. It is normal to feel a tingling or drawing sensation during the footbath in the beginning until the body becomes cleaner. Each session will produce different results. The water may have varying colours between baths. The colours are simply a product of the oxidization process, waste/impurities, heavy metals and the osmosis process. Some companies will say its waste from a certain organ. Part of it is and part of it is simply the process itself. The main thing to focus on is not what colour the water looks like, but how you feel.

6) There should be no detoxifying effects from the footbath however you may experience the following symptoms:

• Urine can be darker and stronger smelling
• Increased bowel movements
• Feeling sleepy or energetic

If your toxic load is quite high or you are very dehydrated:

• Leg or foot cramps due to lack of minerals in the body
• Headache during or after footbath 
• Feeling dizzy or nauseous 

Again, it is recommended to drink water before, during and after to reduce or avoid the above symptoms. We will also strongly suggest using a trace mineral supplement upon completion to replenish minerals in the body. This will help prevent any healing crisis symptoms and will also help to replenish post-treatment. We recommend "Cell Complete" for optimum healing or "Concentrace Minerals", both sold in store. Electrolytes, while better than nothing, are not recommended as there are very few minerals present in those supplements and they also contain fillers.

7) Once the foot bath is completed, we will rinse your feet with clean water and you simply dry and go. Most people have experienced more energy and better sleep after a single session.

Depending on the individual and where they are from a health standpoint, the foot bath works best with a series of treatments.  A “mini” cleanse could consist of 3-5 baths whereas a “deep cleanse would consist of 14 baths with a 21 day rest and then another round of 14 baths until your ideal optimum health has been reached. An in-depth health consultation will help determine which program would be best for you.

Footbaths are ideally done every three days or maximum every other day. Footbaths can be done frequently for an extended period of time (one year or more) depending on your health goals. A well balanced maintenance program for a relatively healthy individual might be 2-3 times per month or when your body feels like it needs it.

Regular consistent footbaths assist the immune system by reducing the amount of waste in the cells. This allows for better circulation and assimilation of nutrients reducing/preventing disease and promoting much better health in general.

The foot pads do not contain fillers and are the best quality.My tips for you when you first try these are to put 3 pads on each foot the first night: on your toes, on your arches and on your heels. In the morning, look at the pads and see what area of your foot is leeching out the most “goo” and then on the subsequent nights, focus on the area that you observed is pulling out the most toxins. That is the correlating area of your body that may be containing the most toxins. You are welcome to put 3 pads on each foot per night, or as you see fit. There is no “right” way to use these pads. Other information you might want to know, as it is frequently asked of me:

Q: Is the brownish “goo” in the morning a result of a reaction to my feet sweating?
A: While the footpads turn dark if exposed to water (just like tea bags would) the “goo” you see is actually toxic matter that has been leeched through your lymphatic system and out your feet. If you continue to use the foot pads until you are “detoxed” you will notice that they don’t come out gooey in the morning anymore. This dispels the fallacy that sweat is what is creating the results you see. You also can get them analyzed in an independent lab, and find out what toxins YOU have in your body!

Q: How long does a detox take for a normal person?
A: This depends on so many factors, including how often you are exposed to toxins (in your drinking water, food, the air you breathe, the chemicals you ingest, even your carpet may emit toxins!) On AVERAGE here in the US, I would have to say that a 2-3 month detox is normal per area of your foot. If you are sick or battling an illness or cancer, it could take more than a year of constant use! But even if you use the pads for only one month, you are doing a great service to your body and should be feeling more energy, better sleep, less illness.

Q: How do I know that the foot pads only take out the BAD stuff? What about medications I am on, etc?
A: The foot pads work by pulling toxins out of your lymphatic system, and it is in your lymphatic system where your body stores the toxins – which for most of us becomes stagnant. Our bodies are so overwhelmed with toxins in this modern industrial age that it doesn’t know how to rid itself of them, as it was never exposed to them before! They are safe to use with medication and any supplements you may be taking.

Q: How do the foot pads work?
A: Through the process of osmosis (remember from high school biology?) It is the same process that allows trees to get their nutrients from the ground through their root system, but yet nourish the leaves on their farthest branches. It is this “tree sap” or wood vinegars, that allow this process to work.

CAUTION: if you are allergic to mushrooms or shellfish, please be very cautious when using this product, as it contains those ingredients. While they do not absorb INTO your body (rather the pads pull things FROM your body), I still like to warn anyone who may be severely allergic. Also, if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy, please don’t use them for long periods of time.

This ionic Detox Foot Bath system stimulates the body’s cells energy & creates an osmosis process moving cellular waste from the body. Each foot bath will help the body with cellular cleansing and toxin release from the lymph, liver, skin, joints and other body systems and organs. 

The process produces two reactions: 

The Optimum Detox Foot Bath generates negative oxygen ions absorbed by the body’s cells, boosting the cell’s energy and increasing cellular waste removal. This helps the body restore its normal balance and promotes healing and repair. A healthy human cell has a charge of approximately 70 – 90 millivolts or  .7 – .9 volts, just less than a volt. A cell operates optimally within this range of voltage. Cells that are injured or stressed will measure as low as .1  -.2 volts, resulting in both poor waste discharge and poor nutritional absorption. Build up of positive (unhealthy) ions from poor diets, stress and toxic environment will lower a cell’s voltage.

This Detox Footbath generates ions that are 35 times more powerful than other detox foot bath systems. The body absorbs the negative oxygen ions generated within the footbath, negating the positive ions (free radicals). The cells are stimulated & energized by the highly charged ions releasing cellular waste & strengthening the cells. The body then begins to function at its normal energy levels.

The Optimum Focus Detox Foot Bath uses a similar process that is medically approved called Peritoneal Dialysis which uses osmosis to move cellular waste from the body.

The foot bath creates an ionic osmosis process where water is broken down into highly charged negative (healthy) ions. These ions flow through your body penetrating the cells and oxygenating and energizing them to perform their proper functions and release waste. The negative (healthy) ions also neutralize free radicals (positive/unhealthy ions). The waste is transported via the vascular system where some of the waste is moved out through the feet since the footbath water is much denser than the body’s water. Protein & other types of molecules that are too large to pass through the feet membrane pores will not be removed. The body will only release what is small enough and ready to be released. Any residual waste will be removed through the body’s natural elimination system. Most elimination occurs up to 3-4 days after the treatment. Using the infrared sauna is a great way to continue removing these residual toxins in between foot baths. It’s also important to drink lots of water before, during and after a treatment to continue to flush out toxins from the body and ideally support the body with good quality trace minerals (not electrolytes).

Each foot bath treatment can affect the body in different ways as it moves towards a healthy balance. Each person is unique and will react differently to others. Once the body’s energy field is stimulated, the cells release their toxins into the lymphatic system and any cellular waste that is not pulled out during the 35 minute process, will continue to move out thru the lymphatic system. Examples of potential reactions are stronger urine smell or color, and/or increased bowel movement which can last from 3 to 5 days after having one treatment.

Himalayan Salt is added to the footbath water to act as the electrolyte for the process to create the denser saline solution needed for the osmosis process. The Himalayan Crystal Salt has a balanced crystalline structure, which is easier for the  body to metabolize and the 84 trace minerals provide the electrolytes needed for the current to move through the water.

When the Himalayan Salt is added to the footbath water, the Na (sodium) & the Cl (chloride) immediately break up to form negative ions and positive ions. The Optimizer is designed to maximize the  production of negative ions which will be bound with a positive or a less negatively charged element. The Optimizer array creates a hydrogen and oxygen stream in the water. This process and the added salt makes the footbath water denser, accelerating  the osmosis process.

The Array (Electrode) has cathode and anode plates. The cathode plates are where the electrons from the power source (current) move into the solution. The negatively charged cathode attracts the negative ions in the footbath electrolyte solution. The positively charged anode is the surface where the reactant that is being oxidized deposits the electrons it loses. The anode attracts the positively charged ions in the footbath electrolyte solutions.

 CAN I DO A TREATMENT IF I AM TAKING PRESCRIPTION DRUGS?

If you are uncertain, check with your doctor or health practitioner. If you are taking certain prescription drugs for life-threatening diseases, you should NOT use this foot bath. 

The unabsorbed/unprocessed drug can be withdrawn from the body. For any other prescription drugs, you should consult your doctor or health practitioner before having a treatment. We then would recommend taking the footbath treatment after enough time has passed for the body to absorb the medication (2-3 hours). 

To explain simply, ions are invisible electrified particles that have an effect on our physical and mental well-being. We are exposed to both negative (healthy) and positive (unhealthy) ions every day. Negative ions make us feel good, destroy bacteria and decrease inflammation in the body. Most things in nature or natural elements emit negative ions such as being near a waterfall, walking in a forest, salt lamps as they are a natural element, the ocean and minerals. Positive ions make us sick and feel bad. These ions come from electronics, WIFI, screens, battery operated items and electromagnetic pollution. The more positive ion exposure we have, the more our health fails. Being exposed to negative ions is good for our bodies and helps us heal and stay healthy. This foot bath system only produces negative ions.  

WHAT IS THE TINGLING SENSATION DURING THE TREATMENT?

This just means you are more sensitive to the sensations of your own body. Some people can feel a pulling sensation or even a tingling sensation in problem areas. This is the process working. You may not experience this at all or here and there throughout your treatment.

CAN THE FOOT BATH REMOVE HEAVY METALS?

Based on client and practitioner feedback and the distributor’s own testing, yes.  The distributor’s independent third party (Severn Trent Laboratories) performed three control tests which showed aluminum, lead, cadmium and other heavy metals both in the footbath water as well as being plated to the electrode array (optimizing unit). Mercury was unable to be measured within the water or plates due it’s vaporizing nature. It is assumed that any mercury removed may evaporate in the form of a vapor, which is not measurable in the tests conducted and therefore unconfirmed.

Almost all detox footbath manufacturers state that the watercolours correlate to the cellular waste from the various parts of the body & organs. While there is some colour change due to the removal of toxins, some of the colour is due to the oxidation process as well as anything in the water being used. There are no scientific studies or data to support the colour analysis. Not all impurities are visible. There have been controlled tests performed demonstrating that heavy metals existed in the footbath water after a 35 minute treatment as well as plated on the water arrays’ rings (unit used in the bath for the process).

Other ways to detect that a release of toxins is happening during the process is the oily film that forms on the surface, change in urine color or urine smells due to the elimination of toxins and stimulation of the lymphatic system. The orange colour that would happen anyway without anyone using the foot bath, gets deeper in colour, also indicating released toxins in the water. You may also see darker colours such as dark brown or black and it could be from any number of organs and cells. 

Color changes in the footbath water will vary due to the different water conditions and bodies. The interaction of the OPTIMUM FOCUS water module with the city-added chemicals can cause quite a discoloration in the water anyway. The process must neutralize those chemicals and re-energize the water. The final result has to do with the health of the person being treated. This will then determine the water colour change. Everybody is different and will experience varying results. The same client will also have varying results with every foot bath, depending on what is happening in their body at the time.

IS ANYTHING ADDED TO THE WATER?

Simply regular hot tap water and 1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan salt crystals. That’s it! Any contaminants in the water being used will be neutralized during the foot bath process.

HOW LONG IS THE FOOT BATH TREATMENT?

A detox footbath’s average session time is 35 minutes for a healthy adult. For children, the amperage and time would depend on the age (see below under CAN KIDS USE THE FOOT BATH). For others with more chronic illness, deep toxicity or had received chemotherapy at any point in their life, will have a shorter session (15-20 minutes).

WHAT IS THE OBJECT IN THE WATER?

The object is called the “Optimizer Water Module” or “array”. This unit is what transforms the amperage from the power unit to ionize and recharge the water. The ionized water goes in through the feet pores to then ionize and recharge the cells within the body.

CAN I USE A CELL PHONE OR ELECTRONIC DEVICE DURING A FOOT BATH?

No. We suggest not touching any electronic devices that would affect your treatment. The footbath unit affects your energetic and cellular fields so any other influences such as a cell phone or electronic device, even touching another pet or person, will affect the detox process. The more relaxed you are, the more you will get out of your detox footbath. Take this time to destress, relax and enjoy the process! It is also more effective if you remove any jewellery and watches.
