Jenna is shining a light on the power of somatic or body-based therapies for achieving inner freedom, strength and resilience. Customize a session based on your preference (floor work, verbalizing, yoga therapy, somatics) and personal needs. Somatic is a term meaning your first person, subjective, lived experience in the present moment. The etymology of the word is the root word soma, meaning body. It is pointing toward the experience of your bodyfrom within.
Jenna’s path in the healing arts began with her first Yoga Teacher training in 2011 at Yandara Yoga Institute. It was there that she first learned about Somatic Psychotherapy. Her first teacher in the field of Somatic Psychotherapy was a Buddhist teacher, yoga innovator and psychotherapist from Toronto named Michael Stone. She went on to complete a professional counselling program in Somatic Trauma Therapy (Relational Somatic Therapy) from 2017-2018. Some of her other areas of study and specialization include: Therapeutic Bodywork and Yoga, Tibetan Usui-Reiki energy healing, Yin Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga and Hanna Somatics. Currently, Jenna is studying therapeutic Qigong and continues her zen practice with the Mountain Rain Zen community.
Candie is a master in Usui Reiki who combines both Eastern and Western techniques with stretching, acupressure points, and moving energy through meridians. She is a trained bodyworker & RMT offering deep tissue massage to relax tense muscles while invigorating your body’s blood flow and promoting health through proper relaxation. Her signature specialty includes reiki techniques, and chakra balancing to promote further healing. Her philosophy for all her work is based on removing obstacles that block our abilities to see, hear, feel and connect more intimately with our own mind, body and spirit.
Qigong is an Ancient Chinese Art of Healing based on a systematic alignment with the Life Force, Qi. This method has been used in China for centuries to help maintain overall well-being including Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, Somatic, and Physical health.
With 11 years of experience in Qigong healing, she rejuvenates vital energy and stamina, revives the immune system, brings mental clarity, harmonizes relationship with self, increases sensitivity to changes and boosts creativity and capacity to maintain well-being. Qigong incorporates methods to dredge the meridian channels within the body in various ways, depending on the channel and the depth of the imbalance. It is highly effective in relieving chronic pain and various types of conditions such as insomnia, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, allergies, and much more.
As a student of Manual Osteopathic Therapy, she is happy to apply her skill sets at the clients' consent. Manual Osteopathic Therapy was created by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still who is gifted in connection with the Life Force/Energy. This healing art method understands the body as an integrated and interrelated whole. It develops methods to assess, treat, and reassess the body to restore it to its best function. It is all done by hand and is proven to be effective in skeletal-muscle conditions and all sorts of situations that traditional Western medicine would categorize as internal medicine.
Is a Yoga Instructor and Sound Healer. She offers singing Bowls Vibro-acoustic Massage in our Himalayan Salt Room, which is a treatment performed with one large Tibetan bowl and a mallet (bowl stick). The practitioner does not touch the body, only the bowl has contact. Almost the entire session is a direct contact of the singing bowl with the body of the guest. The bowl is gently struck with a mallet producing vibrations that flow through the body producing more sensation, circulation, cell rejuvenation and hydration. The treatment is deeply restorative and induces deep relaxation to the nervous system similar to a sensory deprivation experience. This treatment is best conducted in comfortable cotton clothes with long sleeves. Please wear the appropriate clothing and preferably without buttons or zippers.
Benefits for the guest include:
• Reduces anxiety and stress
• Improves sleep quality / good for insomnia
